Great Time had by all at Internet World

PCRs attendance at the Internet World show during the first week in May proved a great success, judging by the number of visitors to our stand, the response to our teaser “How 2.0 are You?” quiz running before and during the show, and the great follow-up we’re having with clients and candidates alike who met or saw us at the show. Our MD, Judith Blair, who’s been involved in the world of the commercial Internet since 1992 (and no she’s not that old!) can’t remember seeing such a busy industry show since the heady days of the mid 90’s, which bodes well for all of our businesses in the sector.

PCR were fortunate enough to have our stand just by the Google University and the Keynote Theatre, so managed to chat to many of the people queuing up for the “sold-out” events taking place in each, who all agreed with us that it was a great show, with a really interesting and eclectic mix of exhibitors and speakers. Hot themes we picked up on were the growth in demand for web analytics, the whole Web 2.0 experience and how it’s impacting on the way people are doing business via the web, as well as lots of exciting and creative developments in the use of interactivity in marketing on-line. With all of those and the mix of “interesting” promotional characters wandering around the show (for those of you who weren’t there we voted the ladies in leopardskin and the Viking top of the list) it was a fun if tiring 3 days, and with a record number of visitors through the door, hopefully a fruitful experience for all involved.

If you didn’t get a chance to get to the show, then maybe we’ll see you at Broadcast Live next month? Look out for the orange and white logo to find us….
